Information Centre of National Trust

The information centre for National Trust of this institute was approved by the National Trust vide their office letter number 1/74/NAT/2001 dated 8th April, 2002. This centre is looking about the welfare of the mentally retarded children. It is providing following facilities to the parents of mentally retarded children.

  1. Guardianship Certificate for children with mental retardation, autism, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities who are more than 18 years of age

  2. National Photo Identity Cards

  3. Courses in Diploma in Vocational Training & Employment (DVTE) MR, foundation course in special education and care givers training.

  4. Vocational Training and Employment for Mentally Challenged persons

  5. Concessions and reservations for mentally challenged persons

  6. Guidance and Counselling of persons of mentally retarded children.

  7. Legal rights of mentally challenged persons.

  8. Functioning of Local Level Committee

  9. Needs of persons with disabilities

  10. Any other information related to mental retardation, cerebral palsy, autism and multiple disabilities.

The jurisdiction of the centre is U.T. of Chandigarh. The Guardianship Certificate is issued within a period of one month.
